Vermont Gay Social Alternatives (VGSA) is organizing its second annual Ski Day at Bolton Valley, Vermont on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. LGBT skiers, snowboarders and their friends and family are invited to join in the fun. Discounted lift tickets are $35 for Alpine, $12 for Nordic. Advanced reservations are required by Thursday, March 1. Reserve online or send a check to VGSA, P.O. Box 237, Burlington, VT 05402-0237. Lessons, equipment rental and other services are available at Bolton Valley for additional fees. For $5 you can use the Sports center that has a pool, sauna and other amenities.
Participants may arrive at Bolton at any time. Everyone is invited to meet up for a noon lunch in the James Moore Tavern at the Base Lodge.
Bolton Valley is a unique, high mountain alpine ski village surrounded by over 5,000 pristine acres. Boasting the highest base lodge elevation in the state, Bolton's recreational opportunities are as numerous as the views are spectacular. Whether your interest is skiing or snowboarding, telemark or Nordic, backcountry or night skiing, Bolton Valley has it all in abundance. Guests can take advantage of the Sports Center's Jacuzzi, heated pool, sauna and exercise equipment.
Since 1990, Vermont Gay Social Alternatives (VGSA) has provided occasions for Vermont’s LGBT community to meet in comfortable social surroundings. VGSA’s events take place across the state. They range from athletic events such as volleyball or skiing, to culinary, literary, and community outreach activities. VGSA hosts the annual Pride Cruise on Lake Champlain during Burlington’s Pride weekend.
